Privacy and cookies

The short version: this site sets no cookies, and nothing you type into the checker is saved or sent anywhere. The sums happen on your own device.

Who we are

Plug-in Solar Finder is a trading name of Fanfield Farm Ltd (company number 12103787, registered office 1 East Cottages, East Tytherley Road, Romsey, England, SO51 0LW). Fanfield Farm Ltd is the data controller for this site. Contact us at hello@pluginsolarfinder.co.uk.

The checker

Your postcode, space, budget and other answers stay in your browser. The checker only uses the first letters of your postcode to find your area. We do not collect, store or receive any of your answers.

Cookies

We do not set any cookies, so there is no cookie banner. Our fonts are stored on our own site, not loaded from Google or anyone else.

Hosting and visitor statistics

The site is hosted by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare handles your IP address and basic browser details to deliver pages and protect the site from attacks. We may use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits. It sets no cookies and does not track you across other sites. We see only totals, such as how many people visited a page.

Our lawful basis is legitimate interests: running a secure website and understanding which pages are useful.

Links to retailers

When you click through to a retailer, you leave our site. The retailer, and any affiliate network, may then set their own cookies to record that you came from us. Their privacy policies apply on their sites. See our affiliate disclosure.

If you email us

We use your email address and message only to reply to you. Emails are kept for up to two years, then deleted, unless we need them longer for a legal reason.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask to see, correct or delete personal data we hold about you, or object to how we use it. Email hello@pluginsolarfinder.co.uk. If you are unhappy with our answer, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes

If we add something that handles personal data, such as price alert emails, we will update this page first and change the date at the top.
